Graphic Design: Based on the design standards defined by the Los Andes University, Eforcers developed the Library System's own graphic concept incorporating novelty design elements within the university sites. The graphic concept was also applied to the public catalog service that the library system provides. This is a service supported by a software called WebCat through the addition of the developed graphic concept desarrollado each tool was personalized, thus granting, a unified look and feel for all the library system pages.
Implementation of ECMS as solution platform: For this project we implemented the Eforcers-developed ECMS content manager as solution platform. Thanks to its advantages in content control, different levels of site information were added and some special elementes required by the library system were integrated directly to ECMS through the management of conectable modules that this software allows. So starting with ECMS, as solution platform, we can show the following achievements of the project:
- Setup on ECMS of the developed graphic concept, through the building of templates.
- Information levels definition.
- Information setup.
- Development of an information zona available only to the Uniandes community members which gives access to information and special services. This develpment required the integration of ECMS with the LDAP system that the university uses to store users information.
- Development of virtual tours for each one of the libraries and their direct integration to ECMS.
- Development of the information links module directly integrated to ECMS.
- Development of the information alerts module directly integrated to ECMS.
- ECMS Training for the library system employees.
- Site online publishing.
Specialized Support In order to guarantee the correct functioning of the system and the constant renovation in the services development for the library system page, Eforcers created a specialized support scheme which allow us to continuously answer each requirements that may exist about this page. |
